Lion
As we were driving through the final part of the safari park, we watched as this lion became agitated with the car ahead of us and though they quickly drove away, the lion approached our window and roared at us. This photo was, unfortunately, snapped a split second too late but regardless, is of a lion just feet away.

A giant vulture and a hungry jackal fight over a pile of bones. Photographer Stephen Earle snapped the scene from a hide as the two animals battled at Giant’s Castle Game Reserve in Kwazulu Natal, South Africa. The vulture backed away following a one-minute stand-off with the black-backed jackal.
