The yellow crazy ant (Anoplolepis gracilipes) is a species of ant, introduced accidentally to northern Australia and Christmas Island in the Indian Ocean, that has wreaked ecological damage in both locations. They sting their victims with venom that is similar to stings of wasps, bees, and fire ants. Their venom is one of the most powerful in theinsect world. The symptoms of the stings of the ants are similar to stings of the fire ants.
